Worthing Community Chest gives a massive thank you to all the volunteer panel members for their valuable time and effort spent reviewing current applications.

The panel consisted of ten previous applicants, all from local non-profit groups and organisations.

It is their job to assess the viability of the grant application and its worthiness within the local community.

Malcolm Brett chaired the meeting and was impressed at the enthusiasm of the panel, ensuring a clear and fair outcome for all seven of the applications under consideration.

Worthing Community Chest volunteer Lisa Dobson, attended the appraisal panel as an observer, and commented “There are many worthwhile community projects based in Worthing, which without an army of volunteers and charity groups, just wouldn’t get off the ground. I am encouraged by the commitment locally to help others.

The total awarded for this round of grant applications was £7278, a fantastic boost for the local community!
