This week we have a guest post from our volunteer, Tom:
On the 22nd August I went along with three Worthing Community Chest trustees; Fred Weller, Malcom Brett, and Heather Foster to present Jess Estcourt and Rachel Gilmore of Bartie Presents with a cheque for £1,250. They were in the process of putting up Tents for the Worthing Carnival, which was taking place on Beach Green next to Splashpoint.
The grant was used to purchase Pagoda and Indian Raj tents for the Rotary Club Carnival. The event included a circus, music acts, and various family friendly activities. It was a fun filled day in the sunshine to start the Bank Holiday in style.
