Worthing Community Chest are looking for new trustees to join their Board of Directors. With your help we can support even more groups and continue our aim of enabling social and economic well-being in the borough.

Since 2001, the Community Chest has awarded grants to hundreds of non-profit groups. For the charity to fund even more groups we need additional trustees to make sure the board has a wide range of skills. If you have some spare time and have skills in one of the following areas: Marketing, Finance, Fundraising, Campaigning and Governance then perhaps you could become a trustee?

Worthing Community Chest Chair, Heather Foster joined the board in 2013 “To be able to use one’s skill and experience to help the charity sector is really important.  As a volunteer Trustee, it is rewarding to help others and give something back to Worthing. The fact that we have awarded over £260,000 in the last 15 years is a testament to the work of the trustees at Worthing Community Chest’

Trustee, Fred Weller, applied for a grant from Worthing Community Chest in 2010, and was later invited to join the Board “Since that time I have been introduced to the wide range of local clubs, groups and organisations but particularly the tremendous volunteer network throughout Worthing. I have seen and enjoyed contact with people who share a passion for the life and lives of Worthing” said Fred.  “Perhaps my greatest pleasure has been to sit with representatives from these clubs and groups at Appraisal Panel meetings, knowing that I am spending my time with people who do what they do because they care”.
