As always, this year we’re blown away by just how mutually supportive the community groups and social enterprises of Worthing are. Considering the challenging funding environment, it would be easy for organisations to view each other as competition for scarce funds. Instead we see every day how local groups collaborate and support one another, sharing resources and skills to thrive.
Our own funds are under similar strain. One of our major sources of income for grant funding is textile recycling and the amount we receive for this has dwindled significantly over time. Recycling is a force for good however, so please do keep putting your discarded textiles, shoes and boots etc. in our network of recycling bins.
You can also support us in other ways, by playing our lottery or making a donation. Alternatively, you can leave us a gift in your will, or donate your time as a volunteer or trustee.
This year the Mayor of Worthing chose us as one of the Charities for her mayoral year. This November she hosted a fantastic Art Show at Worthing Town Hall featuring some of our town’s talented creatives to rais money for our cause and for Worthing 4 Refugees and the Worthing Food Foundation.
