The workshop was free of charge to ensure it was accessible to regardless of financial means.
The young people attending the workshop learned about the birth of Hip Hop, the origins of the Hip Hop DJ and the origins of graffiti art, introducing them to the important elements of Hip Hop culture; Breakdance, rapping/rhyme structure, graffiti and DJ’ing.
The workshop demonstrated how Hip Hop can be a positive outlet, a useful form of self-expression and a therapeutic hobby which, when taken seriously, can also become a pathway to a professional career.
