Seaweed Guy is on a mission to improve the relationship between our sea and soil. Using seaweed gathered (by permit) from our foreshore, he makes eco-friendly liquid fertiliser to improve soil and help our plants.
Our grant provided a seed fund to help cover the costs of setting up this non-profit business including; registering with companies house, website domain registration, netting bags to collect drift seaweed, barrels for soaking seaweed to make liquid fertiliser, and printing costs for promotional posters.

Seaweed Guy’s aim is to build a long-term community group in Worthing whereby individuals and families subscribe to the Seaweed Squad, then apply the benefits of seaweed feed to their plants and gardens.
This will help to increase the health of the microbiome in the soil and mitigate the negative impact of climate change. The benefits to our community will be having thriving plants and gardens!
