Stagecoach South and Worthing Community Chest have joined forces in a year-long partnership to enrich the local community. Stagecoach South has donated £2500 to Worthing Community Chest to help unlock more essential funding for supporting projects and activities that benefit the residents of Worthing. This donation will boost our smaller grants to various groups, clubs, events, and other good causes, helping everyone involved maximise our impact towards a Better Worthing and a Better World.

Stacey Churton, Marketing Manager for Stagecoach South, expressed her excitement about the collaboration: “We are thrilled to back Worthing Community Chest in supporting local groups to improve the areas they live and work in. We both share a passion for enriching the local community and this partnership will unlock more funding for ten positive community enrichment events or initiatives.”

Stagecoach South and Worthing Community Chest aim to be a force for good within their communities, promoting social inclusion, preventing loneliness, and enabling people to thrive. Together, we are committed to achieving the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). The £2500 donation from Stagecoach South will be used to boost grants that align with our four chosen global goals:

  • Reduced Inequalities (Goal 10)
  • Sustainable Cities and Communities (Goal 11)
  • Climate Action (Goal 13)
  • Partnerships for the Goals (Goal 17)

These grants will be administered by Worthing Community Chest in our normal funding rounds, enabling more local initiatives to make a significant impact.

This generous donation will enable us to unlock further funding for committed groups and projects that enrich our Worthing communities. Together, we aim to foster a sense of community, promote social inclusion, and enhance the well-being of Worthing’s residents. By aligning with the UN Sustainable Development Goals, we are committed to reducing inequalities, creating sustainable communities, and taking climate action. This partnership ensures that more local initiatives receive the funding they need to make a positive impact.

If you are interested in applying for a grant, please apply in the normal way through our grant application process.
