Worthing Community Chest Awards 2024

Welcome to the home of the 2024 Worthing Community Awards. Our community awards provide an opportunity to celebrate the true heroes of the Worthing Community. You will find everything here in order to either enter or sponsor the Worthing Community Awards 2024.

Who can enter the awards?

Any small group, individual, or charity (under £100k annual income) can enter the awards. You don’t have to have received one of our grants to be a Worthing Community Hero.

What is the JUDGING criteria?

You will have organised an initiative, project, or event that has enriched the Worthing Community within the last three years.  We are looking to celebrate people and projects that have enriched as many lives in Worthing as possible.

What is the prize?

There are ten categories in total and two awards for each category: A “Winner” and a “Highly Commended” for each category. Currently, there are no cash prizes, however, you will receive an award or certificate, and an awards’ logos, which you can use on your marketing literature, which will help you with funding in the future. And there’s nothing better than being a winner!

 COMMUNITY AWARDS CATEGORIES

We are also seeking a main sponsor, PLUS a sponsor for each community award listed below. 

There are ten award categories based on the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (UN SDGs), which are also known as the Global Goals. Don’t worry too much about swotting up on the goals. We are more focused on how creative your project was and how many lives you enriched.

If your project, initiative, or event addresses one or more of the following issues, which we believe are relevant to Worthing, then that’s great.

  • Global Goal 1: No Poverty

  • Global Goal 3: Good Health & Wellbeing
  • Global Goal 4: Quality Education
  • Global Goal 6: Clean Water
  • Global Goal 7: Affordable and Clean Energy

  • Global Goal 13: Climate Action
