The launch of Worthing Festival 2024 certainly went with a bang! Worthing-based samba band Drumheads turned heads and stopped traffic in Chapel Road on Thursday evening at the start of the event, which was held at iconic Worthing heritage building, The Venue.

It was a fantastic evening for Worthing Community Chest, seeing so many of our funded groups represented by attendees, demonstrating the wide range of local projects we have been able to support in the arts, heritage and the environment.
Between the Blue and Green Film Festival, Worthing Film Club, The Worthing Society, Worthing Heritage Alliance, and green space groups such as Friends of Malthouse Meadow Forest Garden, Friends of Lyons Farm Open Space, Friends of Tarring Park were in attendance as well as many, many more amazing and creative organisations and individuals.
